Why Choose Us?

When making the important decision of who will be enhancing your smile, there are two main reasons that set us apart from the rest: our Experience and our in-house lab.

Dr. John Hansen's experience is extensive. He maintains one of the few cosmetic only practices in the country. Since there is no board-certified specialty of cosmetic dentistry—yet—it's important to choose a professional who has devoted his practice and training to this field, exclusively. And that's what Dr. Hansen has done. He focuses only on cosmetic dentistry -veneers, crowns, bridges and implants, from simple remedial cases to complete full mouth reconstructions. Dr Hansen does several smile makeovers each week, and over 100 teeth each month.

For certain general-dentistry procedures, Dr. Hansen will gladly refer patients to a hand-picked team of specialists whose work he trusts.

Dr. Hansen's passion for his work also extends to his passion for teaching. "I feel that this is one way for me to give back to a profession that has given my life purpose and direction," he says. Dr. Hansen teaches 4-6 weeks per year. He is a clinical instructor alongside "dentist-to-the-stars Dr. Larry Rosenthal at NYU, Palm Beach Florida, and London England. He is also a clinical instructor and lecturer with the Northern California Institute for Cosmetic Dentistry at locations in San Francisco and other locations in the West. Dr. Hansen also lectures locally on current trend-setting procedures in cosmetic dentistry. He feels that since the body of knowledge in the profession of dentistry doubles every three to five years teaching has allowed him to stay on the leading edge of products and procedures.

" One of our secrets to creating a fabulous smile for you is our in-house laboratory," he says. "There are only a handful of dentists across the country who have their own on-premise cosmetic dental laboratory." The benefits are obvious: at other offices, when you have your teeth prepared for veneers, the models are sent to an outside laboratory where the teeth are made by a technician under no doctor supervision—and since he or she is paid on a production-only basis, that technician may cut corners in order to make as many teeth as possible. Dr. Hansen, on the other hand, oversees each and every step of the fabrication process of your veneers. In addition, at Dr. John Hansen's offices, the ceramist is available to interact directly with the patient, available to study the shape of the face, complexion, as well as other factors.

" This collaboration-among myself, my patient and our ceramist- allows us deliver the ultimate smile," he says.
